Brake/clutch reservoir hoses, lower control arm installation

Afternoon Ya'll,

Decided I had better check all the reservoir hoses and the more I looked the more I found.  The reservoir hoses were all 5/16th fuel line hose, incompatible with brake fluid.  So back to the drawing board, I'm sure it's frustrating for Chuck and now the brake system and clutch will have to be bled.

Looking down on the 'sad' weeping hose for the master cylinder

The first correct answer goes to David L, (but Drew S. gets extra points for seeing the nyloc's that aren't engaged),  the 3/16" x 2" bolt that locks the torsion bars in place was missing on both sides.*

Lower control arm installed, torsion bar setting tool was used to get the correct height, this is the hardest part of replacing the bushings because fitting the control arm mounts in place and then getting the torsion bar back in proper position takes a fair amount of fiddling to get it all back in right.  Next step will be the upper control arm and so forth.

That's it for today.
Cheers,
Lynn

  1. Those dang incorrect hoses are definitely a problem. Good eye. The Crespin book alerted me to checking for weeping hoses. Best of luck as things move forward. You are fixing some important issues.
