Today I had a couple of hours so I thought that I would get the Vacuum tank off and paint it today, imagine my surprise when I started looking for a place to rase the front of the car.

Someone decided to place a relay and fan switch centered on the picture frame jacking rail. |

No place to put the jack, probably not as big a problem if you have a lift but this rail is the one main lifting point on the front of the car, so now the car can't be lifted easily from the front as well as the rear-if you recall the 4x4 lifting block won't fit because someone made a muffler mount to narrow at the IRS.
So what to do? Well in the event someone needs to service that car in the future AND to get these vulnerable parts out of the path of destruction I will move them to the top of the frame rail then install one of my specially made black walnut frame protectors.
Cheers,
Lynn

The bottom of the picture frame is not a good location for electronic stuff as water and road debris can render them non-functional. Glad you are moving them and getting the lifting block in place. That will certainly help for any future work. The old oak one on my car will last a while longer, but is getting pretty beat up looking. I'll look into walnut as that is probably a longer lasting wood.
